Mr. Piong is a seasoned expert in the field of real estate asset management, with extensive practical experience in real estate planning, development, and shopping center asset management. He has held positions at Japan's Kajima Corporation, Singapore's CapitaLand Group, the United States' Simon Property Group, and SCPG Group, accumulating over 30 years of rich experience in real estate development, construction, operations, and asset management.
He previously served as the Deputy General Manager at Shenzhen International Trust & Investment Commercial Property Consulting Management Co., Ltd. (abbreviated as "SCP Retail," now known as the SCPG Group). He was responsible for managing the property management companies overseeing the shopping center portfolios including In City, New City, and Shenzhen International Trust & Investment Plaza. Concurrently, he also served as the General Manager of Suzhou In City from its preparatory stage until his departure. During his tenure at SCP Retail, he led the team in successfully turning around several shopping centers that were underperforming, with a classic case being Changshu In City.
With his outstanding contributions and professional influence in China's real estate industry, he has been appointed as a professional lecturer by the Asia-Pacific Institute of Commercial Real Estate, a council member of Viewpoint Real Estate (the organizer of the Boao Real Estate Forum), and an expert committee member of the China Shopping Center Development Committee. He has also been honored with titles such as "China Commercial Real Estate Person of the Year" by the China Retailers Conference, "China Shopping Center Asset Management Elite" by the China Chain Store & Franchise Association, and "Influential Figure in Commercial Real Estate" by the China Commercial Real Estate Gold Tripod Awards.
